Peru
If there is one country that every adventurer should visit in South America, it is Peru. Peru is located on the western part of South America and is bordered by six countries, namely: Ecuador and Colombia to the north, Brazil, and Bolivia to the east, and Chile in the south. It also has a long coastline through the Pacific Ocean, where you can have some ferocious time at the beach. The capital, Lima, is right in the middle of it and lies in the central coastal region. This has made Peru C-shaped and means that it is mountainous, especially along the west coast, which is dominated by the Andes Mountains. The Andes consist of some of the highest mountains and have beautiful, stunning views. Volcanic peaks are snow capped, valleys are formed by glaciers, ruins, terracing has been done by Incas, and villages are hanging on cliffs. Highlights of Peru include archaeological landmarks such as the city of the Incas, Machu Picchu and the tropical area in the Amazon forest. From hiking the mountains to visiting archaeological sites in South America, Peru is a socially alive country that does integrate several moods of South America in its bosom.
